The Feagaiga, or covenant, between brothers and their sisters in Samoan culture is a sacred space that exists to affirm a lifelong commitment by brothers to respect, serve and honour their sisters. This image pays homage to that commitment and contextualises it around the physical spaces we occupy as diasporic Samoans in Aotearoa, my sister wears the gift from master weaver Mary Ama connecting her to our Pacific aiga in the Cook Islands.
