Artist Hulita Koloi.
Hulita Koloi gratuated with her MA from Whitecliffe College of Arts and Design in Tāmaki Makaurau. She co-curated a young artist show, WYF: Where You From, at Te Uru Waitākere Contemporary Gallery. Koloi was awarded the highly commended prize in the 2020 Eden Arts Art School awards for her work Malaloi.
Her practice functions within the parameters of the four Tongan pillars - Faka’apa’apa (respect), Anga fakatokilalo (humility), Tauhi vaha’a (kinship) and Mamahi’i me’a (loyalty).
