This image is inspired by Kitto’s journey to re-trace his families Rarotongan heritage. The journey begins via his New Zealand Grandfather Donald Reid (Secretary to Resident Commissioner Cook Islands 1939-50) and Rarotongan Grandmother Teariki Upokoina Rose Estall. The Makea Palace grounds were discovered to be one of many family ties to the Island, with relatives laying to rest within its grounds.
